Photograph submissions for 2027 Calendar

Parks are the Soul of our City

Our first five Keurboom Park Calendars were very successful – with the 2026 calendar selling 500 copies. We are delighted at your ongoing support and positive feedback, which has helped raise substantial funds towards park maintenance. Many thanks too, to Brush and Canvas; Arise and Grind; and our volunteers, for their assistance with calendar sales.

In 2027, we will be producing our sixth calendar, showcasing the work of more of our local park users and photographers; and are calling for submissions which meet the following criteria:

  1. Photographs will need to be of the park (or taken from the park)
  2. Submissions may represent any season of the year; but it would be lovely if photographs clearly indicated the season
  3. Format must be landscape, a minimum of 3MB. Photographs not meeting these requirements will not be considered
  4. Supply a caption for your photograph(s)
  5. If a child (or children) is in the photograph, we will need written permission from the parent to use the photograph
  6. If an adult(s) is in the photograph, and is identifiable, please ask for permission to take the photograph and let them know you will be submitting it for publication in the calendar
  7. Submit photographs by email to info@keurboompark.org.za. One photograph per email please, with the subject line: Calendar – (caption), (photographer name). For example: Calendar – Spring Dawn, Terry Walker
  8. Maximum of 10 submissions per photographer
  9. Photographs do not need to have been taken in the last year.
  10. If you have previously submitted a photograph which was not selected, you may resubmit it for consideration
  11. Preference will be given to photographs which reflect fresh aspects of the park which have not been used in previous calendars
  12. The closing date for entries is 30 September 2026.

At least 13 photographs will be chosen (one for each month, plus the cover. Additional photographs may also be selected for the educational section). Photographers will be acknowledged in the calendar. As this is essentially a fund raiser, the chosen photographers will have bragging rights, a free calendar (one per photographer, not one per photograph) and fame but no fortune.

Orders for the 2027 calendar will be taken from 1 September 2026 via info@keurboompark.org.za. The calendar will be available at the end of October 2026.
