Frog Walks and Talks 2025

Frog Talks and Walks

Keurboom Park educational and fun frog talks and walks, with Tania Morkel, will start on Tuesday 1st July 2026. Adults and children from 4 upwards will enjoy this activity. Walks are on Tuesdays, weather permitting.

Please email info@keurboompark.org.za to book your place. Groups cannot be too large so if you want to go with friends, be sure to book well in advance. We will let you know the date you are booked for.

Timing

Walks are between 18.00 and 20.00 - the time shifts slightly as we move into Spring - to accommodate the evening dusk when the frogs become active. That means that the nearer Spring you book the later your walk will be. It is only a matter of a few minutes each week.

What to Bring

  • Bring a torch or headlight
  • Wear a warm jacket and wellington boots
  • A small bucket is useful if you have one
  • You are welcome to bring a flask of hot chocolate or coffee

About the Experience

These guided walks offer a unique opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of frogs in their natural habitat. Led by expert naturalist Tania Morkel, participants will discover the important role frogs play in our ecosystem while enjoying a peaceful evening in the park.

The walks are designed to be both educational and entertaining, making them perfect for families looking to connect with nature and learn something new together.
